At least one possible explanation for Liam Gallagher's cryptic "OASIS" tweets has been ruled out.
Glastonbury organizer Emily Eavis says the defunct Manchester band will not be playing this year's edition of the U.K. festival.
Rumors to the contrary began buzzing around the Internet after Gallagher tweeted the word "Oasis" one letter at a time without offering any explanation for the posts.
Many fans are hoping the tweets lead to news of a reunion, especially as this year marks the 20th anniversary of the band's debut album, Definitely Maybe.
Meanwhile, more acts are still expected to be added to the Glastonbury lineup, which already includes Arcade Fire, Kasabian, Jack White, Elbow, and many more. The sprawling festival is scheduled to take place June 25th through the 29th.
